Dave Wright Spring 2010 – 20th & 21st February 2010
Southpark Community Hall Buckfast, Devon
10am — 1pm 2pm — 5pm Saturday and Sunday
This will be Dave’s umpteenth (plus one) visit to Devon. Dave Wright is a senior student of Patrick Kelly and teaches taiji in Central London as well as workshops across Europe. Following training we regularly visit Tucker’s farm shop, as Dave finds rural life quite hysterical. Despite that, his training offers a profound insight into the more refined aspects of body and mind movement. The workshop is suited to those with some previous experience of Taiji and will build upon Dave’s previous visits to Devon. For those who have not yet experienced Dave’s training methods, I can personally guarantee that however many years of Taiji you have under that belt(and that’s a money back guarantee!), that you will be challenged and inspired by just 2 days trainning here in Devon. Come and join us for more than just clotted cream and farm implements!
Aims
We welcome Dave to Devon each year to further our training, through a development of themes and principles. This sustained period of practice gives a good opportunity to have leaps of insight into your practice.
Cost
£80 for 2 days training — £70 OPT Members for 2 days training
£45 for 1 day training — £40 OPT Members for 1 day training
Students of OPT are welcome to attend Dave’s Sunday trainings in Holland Park.

This year will be the 5th Open Palm Summer Camp. Set on the banks of the beautiful Tamar River, 15 minutes south of Plymouth, in Cornwall.
The camp offers a natural habitat, swimming holes, canoeing, walking, farm implements, evening camp fires, communal cooking and even a healthy dose of Taiji training. With pitches for tents or the possibility to stay in Plymouth (15 minutes away) the camp will give an opportunity to share good company in an atmosphere conducive to further advances in our practice.
Aims
With Waitrose only 5 minutes away, the aim of the Summer Camp is to enjoy our practice and each other’s company together, rather than be tempted by Waitrose. We invite instructors from afar to create a rich blend of those following this style. This sustained period of practice gives a good opportunity to not only share with others, but to have leaps of insight into your practice. The camp is open to all, with Friday and Saturday recommended for beginners only.
